Raiders at Seahawks 2022 Week 12: Game preview and prediction
Game Preview
As we stated above, the Seahawks have been a pleasant surprise this season, as they currently sit in first place in the NFC West, and are getting great play from a journeyman quarterback. Geno Smith has revived his career in the Northwest, and when all is said and done, could be in for a major payday.
Outside of Smith, the Seahawks have solid weapons on offense, including rookie running back Kenneth Walker III. Stepping in for the injured Rashaad Penny, Walker has shouldered the load for the Seahawks, and given Smith the kind of running game presence that has enabled him to take shots downfield to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
The Las Vegas defense will have their hands full in this one.
Las Vegas counters with an explosive offense of their own, but we have only seen it in glimpses this season. Against Denver last weekend, Derek Carr and company played an upbeat tempo late in the fourth, and into overtime, something they should look to replicate on Sunday against Seattle.
On defense, Las Vegas has struggled mightily all season long, but we saw some good signs against Denver last weekend. To win on Sunday, that unit has to be the better of the two.
