2022 Las Vegas Raiders free agents the team should have re-signed
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders had a so-so offseason in David Ziegler’s first as the GM, but he missed out on bringing back these key players for the 2022 season.
In his first offseason as general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, David Ziegler had some big gets and some big misses. The trade for Davante Adams gave the team a legitimate WR1 atop the depth chart, though he also made some big mistakes when it came to the team’s own free agents.
Here, we look at some Raiders free agents from last offseason the team should have re-signed.

No. 4: Keisean Nixon
We will start on special teams, as the Green Bay Packers picked up Keisean Nixon this past offseason, and he went on to become the best return man in the league. Leading the NFL in kick return yards, Nixon was named First Team All-Pro as a special teams player this past season, and also helped the Packers out in the defensive backfield, a place Las Vegas struggled in 2022 as well.
No. 3: Quinton Jefferson
All season long, the Las Vegas Raiders shuffled players in and out at the defensive tackle position, finding some bright spots, but also struggling in a big way to get stops. If they could rewind time, bringing back Quinton Jefferson would have gone a long way in giving the team some stability at the position, as he was solid for the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, appearing in all 17 games, and racking up 13 quarterback hits.
