#2 St Louis Rams: Jake Mathews, OT TAMU

Rory’s Take: I continue to go back and forth between quarterback and top offensive tackle. Ultimately I think this pick gets traded, but for now Mathews makes a ton of sense if the Rams still believe in Bradford which I am unsure about.

Chase’s Take: I think the Rams believe in Bradford as much as they did when they drafted him first overall, but they have concerns about his durability. That signals to picking better offensive linemen like Matthews and waiting until the later rounds to explore an Arron Murray/Zach Mettenberger type of backup to build upon should Bradford go down. Keep in mind, they can still cut him next year.
