The Denver Broncos recent success with Peyton Manning at quarterback has came with a shockingly high amount of unrelated drama inside of the organization when it comes to arrests.

This time the latest Broncos related police blotter report doesn’t involve someone attached to the franchise, but it does involve the son of the team’s face as well as their most legendary player.

Jack Elway, son of legendary quarterback and current Denver Broncos general manager John Elway, was arrested over the weekend for a domestic violence incident that occurred on Friday where the 24 year old allegedly threw a woman from a moving vehicle.

Bleacher Report reported a lead from Raquel Villanueva of KUSA providing details of the report:

From B/R:

"According to court records, Jack Elway faces disturbing the peace and assault charges for the incident that occurred on Colfax Avenue and North Lipan Street. He was bonded out by his father. The bond was set at $550."

"According to Villanueva, “a protection order was issued for the victim” as well.Brian Maass of CBS4 also gives some information on the situation:"

"Sources familiar with the case say that in the last several days, Elway, who goes by the nickname ‘Jack,’ allegedly pushed a 23-year-old woman out of a moving car near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Lipan Street. It’s unclear the extent of the woman’s injuries but one source familiar with the case told CBS4 the woman had no visible injuries. Court records show the incident took place Friday.… It’s unclear how long Elway was in jail before being released. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Elway is scheduled to appear in court again June 5 at 8:30 a.m."

"Patrick Smyth, who is the director of media relations for the Broncos, addressed the situation but acknowledged the team would not speak any further on it, per Villanueva:“This is a personal family matter and the Broncos will not have any additional comment on it.”"

This story is bound to make some sort of waves due to John Elway’s presence in Denver as well as the nature of the story in which the young Elway is being accused of. Domestic violence reports are never a good look and Jack Elway’s indiscretions may result in some serious legal ramifications if the reports are to be found true. After a year where the Broncos had more than their share of negative media attention despite being AFC West champions it is safe to assume the eldest Elway isn’t too happy with his son this Sunday.
