Monday marks the first day of official Senior Bowl events at Mobile, Alabama as 2014 NFL Draft prospects look to improve their draft stock at the Senior Bowl. Although big names often opt to not attend, even ones that should (Looking at you AJ McCarron), the Senior Bowl offers a good chance to look at a wide variety of prospects before the NFL Combine.

The Senior Bowl’s first big event is the weigh ins of the prospects, and while it may or may not be a tad overrated obsessing over the weights and heights of prospects it is something that can make or break a prospects draft value. Not enough height at certain positions can be a killer, as can not enough weight at others. Like it or not, it is apart of the draft process and is something that NFL scouts and front offices value.

Notable prospects were Mike Davis of Texas, who came in at just over six feet, Vandy’s Jordan Matthews, and 6’5″ tight end Marcel Jensen from Fresno State along with Iowa’s C.J. Fiedorowicz who also came in at the 6’5″ mark.

The complete weigh ins for tight ends and wide receivers are as follows. (Courtesy of Fansided.com)
