#14 Chicago Bears: Timmy Jernigan, DT FSU

Rory’s Take: Jernigan plays more nose tackle than he does three technique, but he does have the explosiveness to make the transition nicely. With the big contracts to Cutler and Jennings, tagging Melton will be tough and he could still get a lucrative contract in free agency.

Chase’s Take: Timmy Jernigan is another defensive tackle who should be a first round pick come draft day. While Florida State didn’t outright shut down Auburn’s rushing attack, Jernigan continued to look impressive during the National Championship and was a cornerstone for what was the most dominant defense in the country. With the Bears looking to get younger this looks like a good fit.
