#2 St Louis Rams: Jadeveon Clowney, DE S. Carolina

Rory’s Take: The Rams have two exceptional pass rushers right now, but they may have to lose one in order to keep the other. If they instead are able to find cap space somewhere else to keep both, why not add more pass rush to dominate in the difficult NFC West?

Chase’s Take: St. Louis seems set at defense at least when it comes to which high end talents are available due to their productive pass rush, but the Seahawks and Niners have shown that you can’t pass up on elite defensive talent at the draft with their NFC West success. With Arizona, San Francisco and Seattle all having playoff aspirations the Rams also hope to be in that picture. I don’t think they can pass on Clowney, who is the best non-QB in this draft unless they cut Sam Bradford and use that cap space on more all around talent. Either way we have been evaluating Clowney as the best non-QB talent for awhile now and that is where he stays this week.
