#8 Minnesota Vikings: Blake Bortles, QB UCF

Rory’s Take: Rick Speilman has cited his lack of a successful quarterback as an issue for him and I am convinced they take a quarterback and likely trade up. In this case the best quarterback available is Bortles and that is the direction they go.

Chase’s Take: Rory is the undisputed world champion on “Not buying on Blake Brotles,” and he does have some struggles with accuracy, but I still think he is going to be drafted as the promise to a franchise that desperately needs a QB of the future. He is mobile, has all of the athletic intangibles you would want, and has a strong arm. His BCS win over Baylor likely helps put him over Derek Carr, but if the Vikings want the Fresno State QB this is where either Bortles/Carr will land in my opinion.
