#1 Houston Texans: Teddy Bridgewater, QB UL
Rory’s Take: With the news from John McClain that the Texans will take a quarterback with this pick, I cannot in good sense put anyone else other than Bridgewater here. He is clearly the best quarterback in this draft and would be the sort of quarterback that could do something with the weapons in Houston.
Chase’s Take: Teddy Bridgewater is the best QB in this draft and unless you really are buying the Johnny Manziel hype you shouldn’t be looking at anybody else as your top QB. Bridgewater’s concerns about small hands and an inflated height at college are out there which is something to watch at the Combine, but the tape will show you that Bridgewater is just a slight notch above the rest of the QB’s out there this year. He might not be an Andrew Luck and could struggle to adjust, but he is going to be a starting QB in this league for a long time which is what the Texans need after Schaub fell to earth last season.
