#23 Kansas City Chiefs: Brandin Cooks, WR OrSU
Rory’s Take: Downfield threat and potential gamebreaker opposite of Bowe. Andy Reid went to heaven.
Chase’s Take: Cooks is good, and with several talented late first/second round wide receiver talents is somehow our last WR taken in the first round in Rory’s final mock draft which speaks to how much talent the underrated and lightly regarded Oregon State player who could also land to the Eagles at #22 as a potential Desean Jackson replacement. Regardless I see the Chiefs taking a pass catcher with their first pick.
#24 Cincinnati Bengals: Zack Martin, OT/OG ND
Rory’s Take: After losing a solid offensive lineman this offseason the Bengals add an immediate starter that is versatile and efficient.
Chase’s Take: Hue Jackson is the new offensive coordinator in Cincinnati and there are few things that he would want more than a potential franchise offensive linemen who has the potential to be either a guard or tackle in the NFL. Martin shined at the Senior Bowl and should be the fourth or fifth linemen taken in the draft.
