Round 3: Gabe Jackson, G Miss. St.
Road grater. That simple. I criticized this pick when it happened because there were some defensive prospects I wanted badly, but once the fourth round happened this pick became an absolute steal. I never had an issue with the talent it was simply a matter of impact, however the Raiders got an immediate starter at guard in the third round. How he fell this far is beyond me because I gave this prospect an early second round grade. He will need to work on some of his pass protection technique, but if you want to run the football, this is the guy to run behind. If I were to predict the offensive line now, my guess would be Penn, Jackson, Wisniewski, Howard, Watson, with McCants as the swing tackle, Barnes the swing guard, Boothe backup center/guard, and Mady as the versatile jack of all trades backup.
You will see the good and the bad and even some ugly in this video.
