Brice Butler (#12)-
Selected by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Brice Butler stands 6′ 3″ and weighs in at around 210 pounds. Again, a prototypical body for a WR. In his rookie season with the Raiders, Butler caught 9 passes for a very meager 103 yards. Yet, he was just a fill in for Rod Streater, Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford, and later, Andre Holmes.
Butler had a ho-hum college career at both USC (Initial Degree) and San Diego State University (Masters Program). With his father’s NFL lineage (Bobby Butler, CB, 1981-1992 with Atlanta Falcons), and the fact that he has the size, straight line speed, and leaping ability, the Oakland Raiders saw enough in Butler to try to develop him into an NFL WR. Butler just hasn’t been able to put all his abilities together yet. 2014 should be his coming out party if he can show the Raiders Coaching Staff that he’s ready to take the next step.
