Matt Schaub can still do it

Experience and Schedule
The Texans played against the AFC West and NFC West last year so this is a good time to have Schaub coming to the team. Even though he had a horrible year at it, he showed that he can do some things against the NFL’s toughest schedule. Even though he threw a pick-six that sent the game into overtime and ultimately lost it for his team, he was impressive against the Seattle Seahawks.
He actually picked the Seahawk’s “Legion of Boom” apart when he wasn’t throwing interceptions. He was 31-49 for 355 yards with two touchdowns to go with the two interceptions he threw, one of which hit his receiver’s hands first. Shaub didn’t play against the Arizona Cardinals and played horribly against the San Francisco 49ers in a 34-3 blowout loss.
He completed over 70 percent of his passes against the St. Louis Rams but had no touchdowns in a 38-13 loss. Against the AFC West, Schaub didn’t play against the Kansas City Chiefs and got dealt with in a 37-13 loss against the Denver Broncos. He did light up the San Diego Chargers in a 31-28 win as he was 34-45 for 346 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
The hope is Schaub can build on the games played well in and learn from the games he didn’t play well in. Or it may not matter as it is the health of Schaub that dictates how well he is able to play against them this year. Well, it has to help to have experience against these opponents as it provides film to study on himself and the defenses.
