Ageless One

Charles Woodson looks like he hasn’t aged a day since his 30th birthday with plenty left in the tank. I read somewhere that he lost a step and all that but that couldn’t be and further from the actual truth. Woodson’s problem was he hadn’t fully made the transition to free safety yet as of last year.

Remember, he was a Top-100 football player in 2012 as a corner with the Green Bay Packers. The reason why he was a step late on some interceptions and defending passes is because he took too many false steps. I don’t care how long you’ve been in the NFL, playing a new position takes time as Woodson has been on an island most of his career.

Then he’ll have his tag-team partner, Tyvon Branch, back for injury two make two safeties that can cover man-to-man and tackle. They are both good blitzers too as their versatile skill-sets are going to allow them to so many things. When the corners get healthy, the Raiders defense could probably get away with some cover-0 blitzes.

You know Tarver has at least thought about it.
