Oakland Raiders to Watch For Tonight

Tonight is a huge last preseason game of the year for the Oakland Raiders against the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. It’s not the win or loss that really matters— it’s if certain players look like they can step up and fill in at or take important positions. If these players play well tonight, things look good for the Raiders and they can do some serious damage this year.
We know corner D.J. Hayden is out for the next six weeks and don’t know when Chimdi Chewa, who’s a nice looking corner, will be back. Tarell Brown hasn’t looked very good this preseason so Carlos Rodgers in the slot is all the Raiders know they can count on. Quarterback Matt Schaub is going to rest his tired elbow now and didn’t look good last year or this preseason so that’s another player that we don’t know about.
Then there’s Nick Roach who gets so much praise from the coaching staff, especially Dennis Allen, out with a concussion tonight. There’s also James Jones, who’s not injured but hasn’t truly gotten open since his promotion to starting outside receiver. There are so many question marks on the team right now that can be answered going into the season if certain guys can play well tonight.
