T.J. Carrie

I’ve been hearing a lot of noise about T.J. Carrie since camp started so I became intrigued and watched him closer. He handled his business against the threes in Minnesota but was beaten for a touchdown against Detriot Lions Kris Durham who’s 6’6″. But I have to say I liked against what I saw of him against Jordy Nelson of the Packers as he really battled him.

He was beaten by Nelson for a touchdown off of a slip (after stuffing Nelson on the previous third down play) but it did count on the preseason scoreboard. Maybe he’ll get some longer cleats from here on out for playing on grass and he covers his butt off going forward. He’s another one I can’t wait to see because if he shows up along with Thorpe, the Raiders will have two solid corners before Checkwa and Hayden get back.

This is good to know going into the season as the Raiders need bump-and-run coverage to go with their pass rush.
