Is Who I Think he is

Derek Carr showed us last night that he is exactly what I always thought he was, is and will be as a quarterback. Yes, and many of you know, that includes ready to start right now instead of waiting for a man whose arm may be done. Carr was poised in the pocket, read the defenses and was deadly accurate to wake up the previously sluggish offense.

On the day, Carr was 11-13 for 143 yards and three touchdown passes while leading four touchdown drives in a little over a quarter. Oh, and you can’t say he picked on the twos and threes as two of his touchdown drives were against the ones. And for the cherry on top, he threw for two first downs on 3rd-and-10 with All-Pro corner Richard Sherman in coverage.

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson always says, “Nothing’s too big for him.” and he was right.

Therefore, Matt Schaub’s injury shouldn’t matter as Carr is ready and McGloin can back him up.
