If Worse Comes to Worse
If worse comes to worse for the Raiders, the Jets can really get their butts handed to them on a rusty, bent tray. Ausberry is a 4.4 40 running tight end that can change the game along with McFadden and Reece in the passing game. If Carr can’t handle all the 3-4 blitzes that will be coming at him, the Raiders can simply spread the Jets out and kill them with it.
The Raiders are one of the few if not the only team in the NFL that can empty the backfield out of their regular personnel. The Jets would have to match linebackers up on Reece, McFadden and Ausberry and they already can’t match up with the Raiders receivers. And if the Jets try to put extra defensive backs out there to match up, the Raiders can just run the ball.
The Jets defense will be helpless if the Raiders offense can execute this.
