Sio Moore the Beast

While I’m satisfied with the play of Mack while the Raiders don’t blitz much, Moore is the beast of the Raiders linebacker corps. I thought last year that Moore should have gotten more opportunities as the Raiders ran a lot of 3-4 with Lamarr Houston ridiculously standing up on the right edge. Then finally, defensive coordinator Jason Tarver started sending Moore on blitzes as all of his 4.5 sacks came toward the end of the season.

Now, Moore already has a sack to show for his outstanding pass-rush ability and he’s an excellent all-around linebacker. He was all over the field Sunday with 13 tackles and two forced fumbles—one of which came with his back to the goal line. He was worth seven points just right there and as the Jets would have scored a lot more points if Moore wasn’t in the game.

And they were going to start Burris over Moore.
