Davis’ Guy

We all already know that the reason the rookie quarterback Derek Carr is with the Raiders is because of Mark Davis. Davis actually wanted Carr with the fifth pick in the draft and G.M. Reggie McKenzie was okay with getting a quarterback later on in the draft. But after Mack fell into the Raiders lap at No. 5, the Raiders were very fortunate to have Carr there at No. 36.

And as it stands right now, he’s not perfect but Carr is the most impactful rookie the Raiders have as Mack hasn’t done that much yet. He threw two interceptions yesterday but drove the Raiders right back for possible scores to stay in the game but receiver James Jones and tight end Mychal Rivera fumbled to end those drives respectively.

Either way, Carr showed that he gets it and the would be much better if he had some help at the receiver position like Andrew Luck as a rookie. I’m not here to put the B-word on Mack—especially not this early but Carr looks like he is a much more advanced football player right now. This isn’t a good look for McKenzie because Carr is playing like a quarterback picked at No. 5 and if McKenzie had his way, someone else would have him.
