Bottom Line
This article is not a prediction of any sort but any team can win on any given Sunday and the Patriots are beatable. In their 30-7 Week 2 win over the Vikings, the Patriots only scored two offensive touchdowns with one coming from getting the ball in the Vikings’ one. They got another touchdown from returning a blocked field and the rest of their points were from field goals coming from great field position.
The Patriots only ran two more total plays on offense than the Vikings and only outgained them 299-256 despite four Vikings turnovers. So I’m not buying the big Patriots machine and the Patriot way as an automatic win for New England. The Raiders have a chance if Allen and his coaching staff are decide to use the right strategy and personnel to compete.
He and G.M. Reggie McKenzie are not talking and owner Mark Davis isn’t talking to neither one of them so something is brewing. My sense along with everyone else’s is that Allen has to come back from England in two weeks with at least one win. If he gets a win with the Raiders this Sunday, that may give the Raiders the confidence to come back from England with two wins.
I’ll be watching just like you.
