Young Oakland Raiders talent a beacon of hope for the future

Sio Moore one of Raiders best defensive talents

Sio Moore has been one of the Raiders best defensive players, week in and week out, Sio Moore leaves his all on the field. So far this has translated into 18 combined tackles within the first 2 games which is second on the team. What separates Sio from some of our other players is something which truly cannot be described in words. Every time you see Sio step onto the field he has the same intensity, but this intensity is not the only trait Sio possesses which is a source for hope. Sio seems to care about the fan base more than most players do interacting with fans regularly through social media embracing Raider Nation and serving as a leader for the team both on and off the field. Sio also has all the physical tools to be an impact player for the Raiders and it is my honest opinion that it would be beneficial if the team allowed him to take on a bigger role within the defense by perhaps using him short term as a middle linebacker or inside linebacker. Sio has already displayed leadership both on and off the field.

Further, Sio has displayed the sideline to sideline speed required of a middle linebacker, whereas Miles Burris our current starter looks slow at middle linebacker and has been consistently exploited by opponents. This might sound like a crazy idea, but a good coach finds a way to maximize talent hiding the team’s deficiencies, currently Burris as a middle linebacker is not working as demonstrated in the first two games, so why not try something new?
