Raider Nation’s Great Depression that started in 2003 is the harshest period of time in the history of Raider Nation. It has led to blackouts, threats of blackouts and a reduction of 10.000 available seats for Oakland Raiders games. The once the winningest organization in professional sports, has become so irrelevant, you hardly hear about them on the NFL Network.

Fans turned on deceased owner Al Davis at the end of’ life, posting billboards about letting someone else run the team. And after saying the Raiders will start winning when he dies, those billboards came back for G.M. Reggie McKenzie. Raiders fans have turned on each other too as they argue in the comments section and fight in the streets of Raider Nation.

But it’s all going to come to an end soon as rookie quarterback Derek Carr leads the Raiders out of the Great Depression. Raiders fans can relax and continue to watch the Raiders and watch him grow as the Raiders build around him. The Raiders are sitting at 0-3 right now but he is showing us that he indeed has what it takes to get it done and the team isn’t that far off.
