The Bottom Line

Carr left the field knowing that he really should have been the first rookie quarterback to beat Belichick in that building.  But the bogus holding call and display of rubber hands by Moore took away his opportunity at such a major feat. But he now knows that it won’t be too long before he gets things going and wins games because they’re not far off.

On offense, all he needs is one receiver that can make plays down the field to open the short passes and running game up. On defense, it looks like it’s starting to come together as they went from allowing 200 per rushing to 76 on Sunday. Corners D.J. Hayden and Chimdi Chekwa will be back to be in that traditional Raiders bump-and-run coverage soon after the bye too.

That will make all the blitzes out of the 3-4 more effective as opposing quarterbacks won’t be so quick to throw into tighter coverage. Speaking of more effective blitzes, the 3-4 has freed outside linebacker Khalil Mack to wreak havoc in opposing offensive backfields. I don’t expect the Raiders to go to the playoffs because 0-3 is a big hole but they will become a tough and win some games after to start the turn around with Carr leading the way.

In Carr we trust!

Just win baby!
