Oakland has been struggling with running screens all season so far but early in the fourth quarter they finally get it right. Oakland’s 21 personnel (2 RBs, 1 TE, 2 WRs) lines up against  New England’s 3-4 (3 DLs, 4 LBs, 4 DBs) in man-free coverage (one deep safety with man coverage underneath). FB Marcel Reece motions to the strong side of the formation bringing New England safety Patrick Chung away from the play before the snap. C Stefen Wisniewski and G Gabe Jackson do a great job of getting hands on rushing defenders before releasing them and are ready to block for RB Darren McFadden as they work toward the outside. WR James Jones even does a decent job of staying between his man and McFadden once the ball is thrown to give McFadden some room to work with. Carr calmly delivers the ball and Oakland gets nine yards.
