Slide Reece in There

The Raiders should definitely slide Reece in the game plan in the same way they slide him in against the Dolphins. Not a whole lot of touches but the kind where if the Dolphins fall asleep on him, he’ll be off for a big play. Once again, if Carr puts the ball out front, Reece has a 37-yard touchdown reception for one big play.

I also really liked the cross-buck, misdirection hand-off with McFadden going the other way Reece got in the game last Sunday. It went for a nice gain of seven yards but that’s the kind of play he’s eventually going to break one on. I would also like to see Reece on a quick-hitter up the middle with McFadden drawing the defense to him as he carries out a fake to the outside.

Reece is also a good guy to use as a check-down and even better to use on the screens out wide or out of the backfield. A double screen with McFadden going the other way would be a good thing to use for Reece as well. Reece getting the ball with McFadden getting the defense’s attention is a good way to slide him in so he can take one to the house.
