Darren McFadden

At the beginning of the game, it looked like Darren McFadden was ready to have his breakout game for the 2014 season. Then an ineffective Maurice Jones-Drew replaced him with the Raiders down 10 and when McFadden went back in, they were down 24. So the running game was eliminated and McFadden was unable to put forth the performance and statistical production he could have.

However, he was able to contribute to the passing game with some nice catches and runs after to show he still has it. The burst, stiff-arm and agility he showed with a spin move are still there plus he’s finishing his runs with more power. So I want to see him get more touches because he will produce if he can stay healthy and if he can’t, make him a situational player or move on from him this offseason.

Many want to see the Raiders move on from him now but the man is special when healthy and I want to give him this year. Reggie Bush is coming off 14 yards in 2012 shy of his third straight 1,000-yard season after all the injuries he’s had. And McFadden is now around the same age (27) as Bush was when he started having his good years so this last year to see should be good.
