McFadden Returning to Form

Those of us that miss seeing Darren McFadden break a long run won’t have to wait much longer because the man is back! He’s healthy, explosive and running hard but Allen stifled the running game with no vertical game to protect it. But one game with Sparano at the helm has unleashed McFadden as many of his 14 carries for 80 yards had him an inch away from breaking one.

And you know it’s coming at some point as Sparano said at his post practice press conference yesterday, “It’ll come!” The Cardinals are No. 3 against the run right now but the Raiders offensive line will be too big and strong for the Cardinals to deal with. That will especially be the case with all of the injuries plus a suspension the Cardinals have to their defensive front.

Football is a battle of attrition so that lack of depth the Cardinals have up front will have their defense ready to give one up. And if you give one up to McFadden, it’s going to go the distance from anywhere on the field for a touchdown. Maurice Jones-Drew will be running hard on Sunday too so the injury decimated defense will have it’s work cut out.
