Reggie McKenzie Scholarship
McKenzie has his scholarship players just like Davis did and Andre Holmes is one of his biggest recipients of it. He has made a few plays but he has also dropped pass in every regular season game but one and five in the last three games. Meanwhile, receiver Brice Butler sits after a 47-yard catch and run for a touchdown in Week 6 and a 55-yard catch in Week 7 to set up a score.
At the tight end position, 2013 6th-round pick Mychal Rivera is dropping balls and isn’t blocking well in the running game. Yet David Ausberry, who blocks better, has receiver speed and reliable hands can’t get in since returning from injury. He actually won the job in camp and what’s funny is how offensive coordinator Greg Olson raved about Rivera’s improvement when he was better last year.
Then there goes that man again, the worst linebacker in the NFL, Miles Burris, who started the season ahead of Sio Moore. But now he’s in injured reserved middle linebacker Nick Roach’s spot and looking worse there than he did outside linebacker. It’s funny how receiver Denarius Moore is inactive the week after dropping a pass to cost the Raiders a game and Burris starts after missing his gap to allow a big run to cost the team the first game.
