Impact on the Future
Still hating on Reggie McKenzie????
Still want to see him gone after this season????
Enough is enough, I have officially chosen my side on this GM discussion. I am a Reggie McKenzie supporter.
Done deal, love him or hate him Thursday night proved the man is an elite talent evaluator.
Count them, go ahead, count them…..and start with Latavius Murray…..Carr, Mack, Watson, Hayden, Moore, Carrie, Jelly, Jackson, Rivera, Streater, Butler, Burris, and McGee….All players that have started or played effective roles on this team.
But the team is 1-10….What about the Free Agents?
Plain and simple, free agency is a crap shoot and more a product of the organization and the coaching staff then the GM Reggie McKenzie. In the draft players have no choice, in free agency players have to want to come play for your team.
Sorry Raider Nation, but Oakland was destination #32 for nearly every possible free agent out there. Building through the draft and cleaning up the Cap were priorities number #1 for McKenzie, and he has done his job exceptionally well.
We have now seen that the talent is there for the Oakland Raiders to compete. But this is a young team, dependent on young players who are going to have ups and downs.
Bottom line is, if Latavius Murray pans out as the future running back of the Oakland Raiders, how can you fire the Man who found both your QB and RB of the future.?
*(Oh by the way, he did it in three years, with two and half draft classes.)
Latavius Murray just places one more notch on McKenzie’s Draft belt.
