Conclusion

While the 52-0 drubbing by the Rams – another team with a very bright future – shows that there’s still a lot of room for improvement, the two wins in the past three games shows that this Raider team may have turned the corner. While it’s too late to fix this season, there is a lot to look forward to in 2015 and beyond. General Manager Reggie McKenzie may have his faults, but he’s a brilliant talent evaluator and draft stragegist, and he will have another chance to use his talents to add to a core group of very talented, quality young players. Derek Carr will be throwing to Mychal Rivera and handing off to Latavius Murray behind Gabe Jackson and Menelik Watson for years to come, while Khalil Mack, Sio Moore, and Justin Ellis force the issue on defense and DJ Hayden and TJ Carrie clean up in the secondary. This season has been difficult, but there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel and the end of that tunnel is coming up quickly.
