Bottom Line
Harbaugh has the name, intensity, character and play style that makes him the perfect man to coach the Raiders. It also doesn’t hurt that he can do wonders for a quarterback as Carr makes that jump from year one to two. Then, there’s that winning pedigree that would attract free agents to help bring the Silver and Black back to prominence.
And from all the rumblings coming out of San Francisco, I could see now that this is more than a pipe dream but there’s one thing. The 49ers are trying to trade him to get something for him and the Raiders should absolutely not trade for him. It has already come out that Harbaugh’s family doesn’t want to leave the Bay Area so all the Raiders have to do is hold on.
Any trade would have to have the okay with Harbaugh and if he doesn’t okay it, the 49ers have to fire him so there’s no sacrifice. I’m sure Harbaugh doesn’t want to go to a place that’s going to lose a high draft pick to get him there anyway. Harbaugh could simply veto any trade, get fired and come back to the place he got his start in coaching.
The Raiders beloved, deceased owner is smiling down on Raider Nation as the potential of one of the coaches he helped get his start in the NFL could be the coach to turnaround the franchise.
