Round 3: Sio Moore
Outside linebacker Sio Moore was taken in the third round in 2013 and he’s making a case to be the best defensive player on the team. He showed the ability to get to the quarterback last year with 4.5 sacks, all coming late in the season when the Raiders started blitzing him. Then he started this season getting to the quarterback with a couple of sacks to before getting injured and changing roles.
When Moore came back from his injury, the Raiders ran a 4-3 under which gave him more of a 3-4 inside linebacker role. So Moore is now No. 2 on the team in tackles with 90, five behind safety Charles Woodson and tied for the team lead with three sacks. He does blow his coverage sometimes but can cover when he wants to as he has shown the versatility to play any linebacker spot.
I prefer that he play outside linebacker to come off the opposite edge of Khalil Mack.
