On the Way Out in Cleveland?

Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon had already gotten himself suspended for smokin’ that bud. (marijuana) Then after coming back, he missed a team walk-through before the season finale. That led to NFL.com quoting head coach Mike Pettine as saying, “At some point, you get tired of using the word potential. So this offseason for him, it puts him squarely at a cross-roads for us.”

Many around the organization have since reportedly said that they didn’t expect Gordon back so the Raiders should jump in. And before you start in about the risk and what he did, remember the guy had 1,646 yards receiving in 14 games. Risk-wise, he’s as low a risk now as he will forever be because his next offense could possibly get him banned for life from the NFL.

This is the freakish, 6,4″ 225 pound, fast and high-jumping athlete that has good hands to catch the deep ball. For goodness sake, he averaged 19 yards per catch in 2013 and will draw so much of the other teams focus. I originally wanted Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin but recently heard that he is likely staying in Philly so the Raiders should at least kick tires here.
