Fowler shows off some nice footwork here, using a juke move to put himself in great position, and then a quick burst to blow by his blocker. He also used a rip move just as he was going by, to ensure the blocker didn’t get hands on him.
Fowler showcases his quick first step here. He sheds a block, gets into the backfield immediately and finishes the play with a big hit. Outstanding play.
The next two clips are of the same play, just different angles.
This play is an example of Fowler’s first step, his closing speed, block shedding ability and his effectiveness shooting gaps all rolled in one.
