If it wasn’t clear already, this play will show you how fast Fowler is. A Florida defensive back picks up a fumble and Fowler comes out front as his lead blocker. He’s running just as fast as the DB is with the ball, and as fast as the wide receiver and running back who are trying to make the tackle.
This play doesn’t result in a touchdown without Fowler.
On this play, Fowler beats two blockers with the same move, just going the opposite way. He tracks down the quarterback and throws him down for the sack.
Fowler is impressive here in run support. He recognizes the play, sets his feet and makes the tackle on the ball carrier.
Fowler gets into the backfield in a hurry on this one. His speed allows him to get there just as the ball is being handed off, he knocks out a fumble, and makes the recovery.
