Duke Johnson Film Breakdown, Part 2

My favorite Duke Johnson play that showed up on film. Incredible vision here, using two different cuts to get free and clear, and then it’s off to the races.

It starts again with Duke’s vision, and then he is dangerous once in the open field. He uses his stiff arm twice in this example to help pickup extra yards.

Duke is a decent pass blocker. He is willing, though, which is definitely important. The running back usually only needs to buy the quarterback an extra second or so.

A second example of Duke in pass protection.

Another example of Duke getting done in the pass game. He’s a mismatch nightmare of linebackers when used like this.
