At 6’6″, 225 pounds Missouri Tigers receiver prospect Dorial Green-Beckham is a big boy. He reportedly has recorded a 40 inch vertical leap too so with all the jump-balls in today’s game, that makes him a vertical threat. But to me, to be a real vertical threat, no matter what your height is, you have to have speed.

Green-Beckham has plenty of that too as he has reportedly run the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds. That’s an incredible combination of height, weight, and speed that corners will have a hard time dealing with. On tape, he looks that fast so when the combine comes, the Raiders should have sets of eyes on his 40-time.

If Green-Beckham runs that fast at the combine, that may decrease the Raiders’ chances of getting him unless they do it in the first round. All the trouble he’s been in will be suddenly forgotten about and team desperate for the next Randy Moss takes him in first. Corners don’t come equipped to run and jump with Green-Beckham and if they are, he’s just too tall.
