Devin Smith is the next prospect under the microscope in Just Blog Baby’s continuous coverage of the NFL Draft.
A big-time deep threat, Smith has been rising on draft boards the last few weeks. Let’s jump right into some film.

One of Smith’s best traits is his ability to track the ball over his shoulder. He does an excellent job of that in this example, having to make a last second adjustment to make the grab.
The same play as the previous clip, just a better angle showing the adjustment Smith made to make the catch.
Smith is one of the fastest WR’s in this draft class, and plays like this one showcase that speed.
There isn’t anything creative about this route…Smith simply blows by his defender.
The same play as the previous clip, just the bird’s eye view. Thanks to Smith’s speed, the Safety can’t get over in time to help.
An excellent example of Devin Smith making a play at the high-point. Smith locates the ball, puts himself in position, and goes up and gets it. Nice play.
