Randy Gregory, OLB, Nebraska: 96

Pros: Gregory is a long and lean athlete with a fantastic first step and decent anticipation. His combination of size and length especially with his arms makes him a disruptive force. Gregory’s ability to keep offensive lineman off of him by using his length and strength allow him to disengage and use his speed to beat a lineman. Gregory is also a quality player at the point of attack and is very stout against the run.

Cons: Because he is around 240 pounds he is scheme specific to a 34 defense. He is stoppable by lower blocks and seems to have a limited impact at times. With his length Gregory should be a batted ball monster. I would like to see a real developed counter move from Gregory, but his athleticism has allowed him to get by without one while still being an elite edge rusher.
