Landon Collins, S, Bama: 94
Pros: Like most Bama players, Collins is a supreme athlete. He is a do-it-all sort of safety that can play deep center field, cover a tight end in man, and fly around the box. Collins is the one potentially dominant safety out of this class and plays a position with a huge need and not a lot of prospects to fill the need. Unlike most top prospects, Collins already has significant special temas experience which cold be invaluable.
Cons: Although a supreme athlete, Collins is a little tight in the hips and his reluctance to wrap tackle can be annoying. He is always looking to throw a shoulder rather than simply wrap up and bring a man down. A problem with most safeties, Collins is more of a bodychecker than he is a form tackler, which will lead to liabilities in the run game should the running back get into the third level.
