Tight End? Really? OK….I would have preferred WR Tyler Lockett or a defensive end. Still this helps a quiet need position, starting TE Mychal Rivera was much too inconsistent last year, a boom or bust player who would have big games mixed in with quiet ones.

What Clive Walford brings is the complete package at Tight End. The Raiders have a bunch of one trick ponies at TE. Walford can block, catch, and run routes, who can hopefully upgrade that position.

You can see the Raiders building around their young QB, which is a great sign.  If Walford can become a consistent threat, it will go a long way in getting this offense to the next level.
