Meh. That pretty much sums up my reaction of the Mario Edwards selection.
With Preston Smith, Owamagbe Odighizuwa, Randy Gregory and Eli Harold still on the board, Edwards is a definite reach.
Arrowhead Addict
He’s a strong, athletic defensive lineman with versatility to play any spot on the line, which is a definite plus. He’s got long arms and he knows how to use them to his advantage. Also, he plays with power and overall is a solid run defender.
But as a pass rusher, he is lacking. His technique is inconsistent and he relies too much on his power without having any other go to move. His first step is also subpar.
Time will tell of course if this was the right decision but my initial reaction is less than enthused.
