Amari Cooper

When the time came the Raiders drafted Amari Cooper 4th overall. This was as safe a pick as any team could make the fact that many analysts considered Cooper the top receiver in the draft made it just a bit sweeter. After having missed out on the top free agents the Raiders were making serious moves. In Cooper the Raiders have a go to guy for franchise quarterback Derek Carr to develop with.

With the selection of Cooper the Raiders obtained a consistent receiver that can not only make all the catches, he can run all the routes, and make big plays when it counts. Cooper lacks ideal size, but do not let that fool you, as last year’s breakout star Odell Beckham proved small guys can make big plays. With that said I believe that this is a selection that could make the Raiders viable contenders next season.
