When I first heard the Raiders picked up Trent Richardson, I thought, “What did they get him for? Roy Helu is a good backup running back and Latavius Murray is ready for the bell-cow role.” I’ve even written articles about him being a star and of course, looking at Richardson’s numbers to date aren’t pretty.

But after looking at some tape, I see I was a prisoner of the moment after Murray’s 90-yard run. Then I watched some tape of Richardson and saw he wasn’t the problem at his previous stops. This Richardson kid is a rare talent and was never given a real shot to show the NFL world what he can do, something that makes him an intriguing part of the Oakland Raiders roster as 2015 Minicamp is underway.
