Last season the Oakland Raiders finished tied for 30th in the league in sacks (22).

The Oakland Raiders struggled to create pressure on the quarterback in 2014 and failed to add any “big name” pass rushers during free agency or the draft, but the youthful group of pass rushers currently on the roster have the potential to develop into successful edge-rushers.

“Because teams don’t have a lot of sacks doesn’t mean they don’t have the guys (who) can make a lot of sacks,” defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. told Vic Tafur of the San Fransisco Chronicle. “It’s just about putting guys in the right place. We have guys (who) are capable. You gotta show them, direct them, put your arm around them and press the right buttons.”
