With training camp set to kick-off this weekend, who are some players to keep a watch on as potential trade bait? The Raiders could always use an upgrade in talent, and we all know Reggie McKenzie covets draft picks. Therefore, here are some players who are expendable and have some value around the league. Let’s play GM and outline potential players who could hit the Trade Block.

1. Marcel Reece, Fullback

It’s not often that a player who went to three straight Pro Bowls enters a make or break year. The fullback position was already a dying breed and it has spread to the Raiders, who don’t plan on using a fullback much. With blocking tight end, Lee Smith, and backfield receiving target, Roy Helu, added to the roster, Reece could see his touches cut. Not to mention, the Raiders already have young tight ends they want to develop and Trent Richardson for short yardage. That means Reece might be expendable.

Reece’s total yards from scrimmage have gone down each season. A lot of that decline can be attributed to poor coaching and schematics. Still, his athleticism and ability to create mismatches should make him an asset for another team. His name and prominence might make be difficult for fans to let go of, but the Raiders could do well by trading him before his value really decreases.
