Oakland Raiders that are getting slept on

Outside linebacker Sio Moore is known nationally for almost ruining the Raiders victory over the Kansas City Chiefs for over-celebrating a sack. But that really shouldn’t be the case because he’s a good football player that has made some great plays. As a rookie in 2013, he started 11 games and had 4.5 sacks as a rookie 4-3 outside linebacker that never lined up at defensive end.

That’s a half a sack better than Khalil Mack’s rookie season and that’s with less attempts per game. In 2014, Moore had the fourth highest productivity number when it comes to rushing the passer. He rushed the passer 62 times, generating 18 pressures for 3 sacks, 3 hits, and 12 hurries.

Percentage wise, he’s only behind Von Miller, Mack, and Bruce Irvin—all of whom are pass-rushing stars. Relax, I’m not saying he’s better than Mack but I am saying that he can really rush the passer. He should be at strong-side linebacker with Mack at the Leo with opposing offenses deciding which one if not both is coming.

Moore gets there with such a high percentage, both he and Mack should have double-digit sacks in 2015.
