Coming off a loss in Week 2 on the road against the Minnesota Vikings, the Raiders are looking to rebound at home against former starting quarterback Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals in what many people believe to be the most important preseason game of the four.

Both the first-team offense and defense are believed to remain in the game for a longer duration of time than the first two exhibition games, and it will be the Raiders final chance to have success in front of their home crowd before they take on the Cincinnati Bengals on September 13 in Week 1 of the regular season.

Though Oakland has found some success with their starters in their first two preseason games, it will be interesting to see how some of them perform in an extended role against a very talented Cardinals team.

There are high hopes for several players currently in the starting lineup for the Oakland Raiders, and their Week 3 contest against Arizona will be a place for them to either shine in the spotlight or fall short of meeting expectations.

With that being said, here are four matchups to keep an eye on in Oakland’s preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.
