With the Oakland Raiders’ 33-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals now in the rearview, it’s on to the Baltimore Ravens. It’s another AFC North team so it’s another physical team but the Raiders are physical too. Those are not the Ray Lewis-led 2013 Ravens the Raiders are playing but they are still good, nearly beating the Denver Broncos in Week 1.
Sunday will be the Ravens’ first game without Ray Lewis, Ed Reed or Terrell Suggs since 1996. Haloti Ngata and Ray Rice have also since departed but quarterback Joe Flacco is still with them. No. 16 overall pick from 2014 C.J. Mosely is now leading the defense as Lewis’ replacement and he’s doing a great job.
But like I said, this isn’t the 2012 team and there are some things the Raiders should be able to do.
